About Surah Nuh
Surah Nuh (نوح) is the seventy-first chapter of the Holy Quran. Its name means “Noah.” It is a Makki Surah consisting of 28 ayahs and is contained in the twenty-ninth Juz of the Quran.
Surah Nuh presents the persistent call of Prophet Nuh (Noah), peace be upon him, and the many ways he tried to guide his people.
The Surah shows that Nuh called them publicly and privately, during the day and at night, demonstrating patience and creativity in conveying the message.
He encouraged his people to seek Allah's forgiveness and explained that repentance can be connected with blessings such as rain, wealth, children, and productive land.
The Surah also points to the stages of human creation, the layered heavens, the moon, the sun, and the earth as signs of Allah's power.
Despite these efforts, many people remained attached to their leaders, wealth, and inherited idols.
Surah Nuh teaches perseverance in calling toward truth while recognizing that guidance ultimately belongs to Allah.
