About Surah-As-Sajdah

Surah As-Sajdah (السجدة) is the thirty-second chapter of the Holy Quran. Its name means “The Prostration.” It is a Makki Surah consisting of 30 ayahs and is contained in the twenty-first Juz of the Quran.

Surah As-Sajdah focuses on the truth of divine revelation, the creation of human beings, resurrection, and the different outcomes of belief and rejection.

The Surah explains that Allah created the heavens and the earth with wisdom and that all affairs ultimately return to Him.

It refers to the stages of human creation and reminds people that the One who created them the first time is fully capable of bringing them back to life.

A well-known passage describes believers who rise from their beds to call upon their Lord with fear and hope and who give from what Allah has provided them.

The Surah contrasts such believers with those who ignore divine guidance and only recognize the truth when accountability becomes unavoidable.

It encourages humility before revelation and reminds readers that true success lies in sincere faith, worship, and obedience.
