About Surah An-Nazi'at
Surah An-Nazi'at (النازعات) is the seventy-ninth chapter of the Holy Quran. Its name means “Those Who Drag Forth.” It is a Makki Surah consisting of 46 ayahs and is contained in the thirtieth Juz of the Quran.
Surah An-Nazi'at focuses on resurrection, accountability, the story of Prophet Musa and Pharaoh, and the greatness of Allah's creation.
The Surah begins with oaths that create a strong sense of movement and urgency before describing the shaking events of the Last Day.
It recounts how Prophet Musa, peace be upon him, was sent to Pharaoh and called him toward purification and recognition of Allah.
Pharaoh responded with arrogance and claimed supreme authority, becoming an example of the danger of unchecked pride and power.
The Surah then asks people to reflect on the creation of the heavens, night, day, earth, water, and mountains.
Surah An-Nazi'at teaches that those who fear standing before Allah and restrain harmful desires are the ones who achieve lasting success.
