About Surah Al-Kawthar
Surah Al-Kawthar (الكوثر) is the one hundred and eighth chapter of the Holy Quran. Its name means “Abundance.” It is a Makki Surah consisting of 3 ayahs and is contained in the thirtieth Juz of the Quran.
Surah Al-Kawthar is a short chapter of reassurance that tells Prophet Muhammad ﷺ that Allah has granted him abundant good.
The exact fullness of Al-Kawthar includes immense divine blessing and is traditionally connected with a river in Paradise.
In response to these blessings, the Surah instructs the Prophet ﷺ to pray to his Lord and offer sacrifice sincerely for Him.
The Surah also answers hostile opponents who tried to present the Prophet's mission as cut off or without a future.
It declares that the true person cut off from lasting good is the one who remains consumed by hostility.
Surah Al-Kawthar teaches gratitude, worship, and confidence in Allah's gifts even when people attempt to discourage believers.
