About Surah Al-Haqqah
Surah Al-Haqqah (الحاقة) is the sixty-ninth chapter of the Holy Quran. Its name means “The Inevitable Reality.” It is a Makki Surah consisting of 52 ayahs and is contained in the twenty-ninth Juz of the Quran.
Surah Al-Haqqah focuses on the certainty of the Last Day and presents powerful images of judgment, accountability, and the fate of earlier nations.
The Surah recalls Thamud, 'Ad, Pharaoh, and the people of Nuh as examples of communities that rejected warnings.
It describes the blowing of the Trumpet and the dramatic changes that will occur in the heavens and the earth.
The Surah then describes people receiving their records of deeds, with some receiving them joyfully in the right hand and others receiving them with deep regret.
It emphasizes that the Quran is a true revelation and not the speech of a poet or fortune-teller.
Surah Al-Haqqah calls people to take accountability seriously before the reality of the Hereafter becomes visible.
